On Thursday, September 16, Christie’s RV Staff presented local officials from St. Vincent Place Food Bank with a large donation as a thank you for taking such great care of our community!
We had heard that our local food bank’s shelves were emptying quickly and knew that that couldn’t happen.
St. Vincent Place is one of the few places in Sault Ste. Marie, where people in need can pick up food boxes to feed their families.
The food bank officials were rallying the community, looking for any kind of donations to help prevent the shortage.
Not to mention, the lack of food was beginning to affect the lunch programs run for our schools in town.
And there’s no reason our children should be going hungry if we can help it.
So, our staff met and decided we would like to do something to contribute to St. Vincent Place.
On behalf of Christie’s RV, we were thrilled to be able to donate $10,000 for St. Vincent Place!
St. Vincent Place Food Bank is such a valuable asset and true necessity to our community. Many people have, one time or another, sought help from a food bank.
We believe that if you’re financially able to donate or have canned food to add to the stockpile of provisions, it’s our duty and responsibility, as local businesses, to contribute and help take care of our community. If we all work together, we can help make Sault Ste. Marie a better place for our families and children.
