If you’re near a lake or river, try this simple and flavorful campfire grilled fish, to enjoy your catch to the fullest. Whether you catch dinner yourself or pack fish from the supermarket, here’s what you’ll need to make the perfect grilled fish:

  • Whole fish (trout, bass, or any firm-fleshed fish)
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or dill)
  • Lemon slices
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions:

  1. Clean and gut the fish, removing scales and fins if desired.
  2. Place a few sprigs of fresh herbs and lemon slices inside the fish cavity.
  3. Season the fish generously with salt and pepper, both inside and outside.
